Named for the address where I lived, 1806 is set over the course of a single year in an alley spanning a mere few blocks. The alley was constantly strewn with discarded furniture, appliances and other rare treasures. I wondered if this was the result of tenant evictions or if my neighbors were just upgrading to new sofa sets and TVs. Whichever the case, I had never seen so many discarded "durable goods" and week after week I tried to imagine the homes from which they came.
